Long Ago Peoples Place

Come see how First Nations people lived before contact. See how housing and traps and tools were made using the basic elements in the forest and a lot of creativity.

From bike groups to RV’s, this is a great place to overnight on your Yukon Adventure. Our faciliities feature on site bathrooms and wash stations.

We have excellent spaces for camping for groups small and large. Water and wood supplied for only $10 per tent/per night.

Getting Here:

From Whitehorse: Drive west on the Alaska Highway about 90 kms (56 miles), after you cross the Mendenhall River, you will see a green sign for Champagne along with a blue sign for Long Ago Peoples Place. Turn left and drive 7 kms (4 miles) until you see the sign above on the right.
